On April 15, Professor Avril Adrianne Madrid of the Department of Science Communication at UPLB’s College of Development Communication conducted a seminar cum workshop at NCPC. Participants of the seminar were NCPC REPS in charge of the NCPC website development project, which is scheduled to be launched come 43rd founding anniversary of the center in May 2019.

Objectives of the seminar were to articulate the elements of news and apply them in recognising newsworthy stories to be featured in the website, identify the basic principles of clear and effective writing and articulate the importance of editing and proofreading. Special attendees during the seminar were writers from Office of Public Relations (OPR), Jessa Jael Arana, Albert Peralta and Kristine Araguas and Paully Valencia from the Office of Alumni Relations (OAR).
