On 12 September 2022, the National Crop Protection Center (NCPC) held an in-house seminar on Information, Media Relations, and Communications at the Center’s auditorium.
Ms. Catherine E. Lee, University Researcher at the Dean’s Office of the College of Agriculture and Food Science (CAFS), served as resource speaker for the seminar.
The program began with the opening remarks given by Dr. Barbara L. Caoili, NCPC Director. “I hope that today, we will learn about the relevant standards and protocols that will help NCPC align its communication efforts with the University’s initiatives. I hope that we will also see the importance of following these standards and be able to observe them in our respective work,” she said.
Lee talked about the UP Visual Identity Guidebook, including the institutional colors, fonts, logotypes, and rules on the use of UP symbols. Also included in her discussion were relevant guidelines on IMRC being implemented by UPLB and CAFS, together with the templates being used for official documents and presentations.
NCPC Deputy Director April N. Alviar closed the program by reiterating to the participants the need to not only know, but also to apply the learnings from the seminar.
