To map out its programs in support of the country’s food security and sufficiency efforts and give direction to its research and extension activities, the National Crop Protection Center held a three-day strategic planning on 20-22 July 2022 at the NCPC Auditorium.

According to Dr. Barbara L. Caoili, NCPC Director, the conduct of the strategic planning is very timely and crucial due to the change in the country’s administration. She underscored that, through UPLB, the services and support of NCPC will surely be solicited in efforts to raise the standard of living of Filipinos, especially the farmers.

Research and extension personnel and key administrative staff participated in the said planning where the Center’s administrative matters, existing and proposed research and extension programs, among others, were discussed.

In her closing remarks, Ms. April N. Alviar, NCPC Deputy Director, said that the strategic planning must be used to map out a clear way forward for NCPC. She stressed the need to implement the plans generated from the activity.
