The National Crop Protection Center conducted a Seminar on Digital and Smartphone Photography in the Workplace on February 19 at the NCPC Auditorium.
The seminar aims to enhance NCPC’s documentation process of crops, crop pests, office activities, among others.
Dr. Barbara L. Caoili, NCPC director, delivered the opening remarks during the seminar. She underscored the crucial role of photography in the documentation of the Center’s activities and research findings. “I hope that this seminar will prove helpful in our respective line of work and that we will be able to see more effective use of photography in our communication with our stakeholders,” she said.
Mr. Jasper A. Sarmiento, NCPC researcher and the photographer behind Jas Sarmiento’s Gallery, served as resource speaker for the seminar. During his talk, he tackled the exposure triangle, lenses and focal lengths, macrophotography, composition guidelines, and other photography concepts.
He proceeded to discuss some photo editing applications and demonstrated their use in improving photos.
The seminar was attended by 30 NCPC personnel.
