Biography

Carlos Padilla is a University Researcher at the National Crop Protection Center (NCPC), College of Agriculture and Food Science, UPLB. Mr. Padilla earned his BS degree in Agriculture from UPLB in 1991, and the same institution he completed his MS degree in plant pathology specializing in mycology minor in Entomology in 2011. He has been involved in a number of research projects dealing with biological, biopesticidal and cultural control of plant pathogens, induced resistance and quarantine services including insect pest management. He has been an active extension personnel as evidenced by the leaflets he co-authored with other NCPC staff dealing with pest and disease management of fruits, vegetables, cereals and ornamentals. Mr. Padilla is the coordinator of the Plant Health Clinic of the NCPC that caters to the pest problems of farmers and other clientele.
