Biography
John Julius P. Manuben holds an MSc. degree in Agricultural Chemistry, with research emphasis on food safety and pesticide management. His specialty is in pesticide residue analysis and detection and advocating responsible and eco-friendly alternatives to pesticide use. He is a member of technical and expert working groups by the Department of Agriculture’s various regulatory and research bodies. In addition, he actively participates in extension services since he understands how important it is to connect research to farmers. He thinks that the key to converting scientific knowledge into useful applications is to establish a connection between farmers and research discoveries.
