Biography

Karen P. Ardez is currently employed as University Researcher 1 at the National Crop Protection Center, under Pesticide Management Division. She took BS Agriculture and MS Entomology at the University of the Philippines Los Banos and graduated in 2007 and 2016, respectively. She has been involved on projects related to insecticide resistance: (1) Differential genotypes of DBM on flubendiamide and (2) insecticide resistance management for onion armyworm. Her recent publication was entitled “Genotyping the Susceptibility of Philippine Geographic Populations of the Diamondback Moth, Plutella xylostella Linn with her mentors Dr. Barbara Caoili and Dr. Rita P. Laude. Currently, she is planning to take her PhD.
