Biography
Jasper A. Sarmiento is a University Researcher I under the Pesticide Management Division of the National Crop Protection Center. In 2014, he graduated with a degree of BS in Agricultural Biotechnology with a major in Crop Biotechnology (cum laude). He then supported various pesticide chemistry studies including research on rapid pesticide residue detection methods at NCPC as a University Research Associate I for over six years. In 2022, he received a promotion and became a University Researcher. His current work is focused on creating the Rapid Test Kit for Pesticide Residues (RTK) and developing a nanoparticle biosensor for pesticide contaminants in water.
