A total of 35 students from the Calamba City Senior High School started their crop protection orientation at NCPC on January 14. The activity is pursuant to DepEd order No. 30, s2017 deploying Garade 12 students to institutes or organizations related to the courses they will take in college. The CCSH opted for NCPC to learn more about crop protection and how the centre works, specifically in laboratories where most of the researches are being conducted. The students will immerse in activities that will bring out the agriculturists in them, specifically in the fields of pest management, pesticide management plant biosecurity and technical support and advisory services. Further, the activity will promote agriculture as a major course to enrol to for the graduating senior high. The immersion will last for 10 days. (rgdelacruz)
