The National Crop Protection Center (NCPC) capped off 2023 with the NCPC Holiday Cook-Off held on December 18.

The activity sought to bring together the NCPC personnel and showcase their culinary skills by preparing a three-course meal consisting of an appetizer, a main course, and dessert.

NCPC personnel were divided into five groups, each bringing in unique and flavorful dishes such as kabocha korokke, chicken sinugno express, and deconstructed turon ala mode.

Serving as judges were Dr. Elpidio M. Agbisit, Jr., dean of the College of Agriculture and Food Science (CAFS); Dr. Florencio C. Reginio Jr., assistant professor at the Institute of Food Science and Technology, CAFS; and Ms. Rose Aviegael D. Dichosa, Instructor at the Institute of Human Nutrition and Food, College of Human Ecology.

The JARD Iron Chefs emerged as the grand winner for this competition.
